Frost Lumber Co Inc is a fifth-generation, family-owned lumber and building supply company located at 511 W 7th St in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Established in 1882, we are one of the oldest continuously operating businesses in Lafourche Parish and one of the most trusted building supply companies in South Louisiana.
We serve residential and commercial customers across Lafourche Parish, Terrebonne Parish, and the greater South Louisiana region. Our customer base includes licensed contractors, commercial builders, residential homeowners, DIY enthusiasts, storm repair customers, renovators, and anyone who builds, fixes, or maintains property in South Louisiana.
Our inventory covers the full spectrum of building and construction materials. We carry structural and framing lumber, engineered lumber, dimensional lumber, exterior building materials, roofing materials, siding, sheathing, insulation, interior finishing materials, trim, molding, doors, windows, flooring, tile, paint, stain, hardware, fasteners, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, lighting, tools, and general building supplies. We also offer key cutting, custom orders, special orders, delivery, project planning assistance, and material estimates.
Frost Lumber occupies a full city block in downtown Thibodaux - one of the most recognizable properties in the area. Our facility includes a full lumber yard and a comprehensive building supply store under one roof. Customers who visit for the first time are often surprised by the depth and breadth of our inventory.

1882 - 1912
Henry William Frost
Founder - First Generation
Founded Frost Lumber Co. in Thibodaux in 1882 as a supplier of locally harvested cypress lumber and wood shingles. Under Henry's leadership, the company established its reputation for quality materials and dependable service throughout South Louisiana.
Henry led Frost Lumber for 30 years until his passing in 1912.


1912 - 1945
Allen Gilbert Frost
President - Second Generation
Allen Gilbert Frost assumed leadership in 1912 and guided the company's expansion beyond lumber into hardware, paint, masonry products, and millwork. His leadership helped transform Frost Lumber into a full-service building supply company serving contractors and homeowners throughout the region.
Allen retired in 1945.


1945 - 1985
Henry Cambron Frost
President - Third Generation
After serving as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer during World War II, H.C. Frost returned home and became President of Frost Lumber in 1945. He led the company for four decades, including overseeing the 1969 move into Frost Lumber's current facility on West 7th Street.
His leadership helped position Frost Lumber for continued growth into the next generation.


1966 - 1980
Henry Jamie Frost
Vice President - Third Generation
Henry Jamie Frost served as Vice President of Frost Lumber while helping oversee the company's day to day operations alongside his family. A dedicated member of the fourth generation, he provided steady leadership and support during a period of continued growth, remaining actively involved until his passing in 1980.
Henry Jamie Frost's commitment to the family business helped preserve the values and traditions that continue to guide Frost Lumber today.


1985 - 2016
Cambron Allen Frost
President - Fourth Generation
Cambron Allen Frost carried forward more than a century of family tradition with quiet leadership and an unwavering commitment to the people who depended on Frost Lumber. As President, he helped guide the company through changing times while preserving the values of honesty, service, and quality that had defined the business since 1882.
His leadership laid the foundation for the fifth generation, ensuring Frost Lumber remained a trusted name in the community and a legacy his daughter, Alison, proudly continues today.
